Fiat 1500 Stabilimenti Farina

I look for for any documents for my Fiat 1500 D or E, year of construction approximately 1949. A Cabrio concerns with aluminum body of Stabilimenti Farina.
Is there a Fiat archives, in which one can experience something over the chassis or engine number? Is there archives of the company Stabilimenti Farina somewhere?

Excuse my English, but I speak only Czech and German.

I wrote already Alessandro Sannia and continued to lead that me to Fiat archives. From there comb no answer. Of Michelotti register also. Pininfarina and Viotti register negatively. I have a letter of Tito Anselmi (Carrozzeria Italiana) from the previous owner. And that is everything.

No photos of any Stab.Farina bodied Fiat 1500s in any of the Fornai Italian coachbuilder books including the Michelotti one. I remember there was a Fiat 1500 Stanguellini in England with Farina coachwork about 10-15 years ago that looked quite a lot like the maroon and bare metal car (bottom photo in post 1 of this thread) needing total restoration.

Love the 1100S. Is it strictly a FIAT, or was it built by one of the tuners such as Siata?

Tito Anselmi

I got an interesting letter from the previous owner. The letter is already fourteen years old.

A friend of mine Dan, bought a Stab. Farina Alfa 1900 Cabriolet. He was able to secure some original photographs from Alfa Romeo. As to Stab. Farina, my friend said that there is little if anything on the company. It would be my guess that this forum will be the best leads for anything. You have a very interesting car and should be a beautiful restoration.

Stabilimenti Farina

I am in Canada at the moment and do not have access to my files, but I do have some photographic information on at least a couple of similar cars. Most important: the Stabilimenti Farina body number! There will be four digits in all but only two may appear on some parts. All four digits may allow me to relate it to cars they bodied on other chassis.

Best of luck
