Don,

I can't remember the name of the fellow in Santa Barbara (Craislist ad), but he's the one who bought Doug Bender's Fulvia HF (1.2) this past June. He's got an interesting collection of cars.

There's a lot to love about Fulvias. There's one that's going to be available in about 6-8 weeks, once it arrives from Italy; you can see it on this thread, posts 63 & 64. Very sweet car in very nice shape.

... well, don't we all know the arriving car and I make sure I will see it VERY early.

By the way, the guy's name in Santa Barbara is Mark Mitchell. Nice fellow: I bought a Zagato Abarth double bubble from him (The white one in the pic).

Thanks, Mike. Usually, my memory's better than that...

(So that's where you got the double bubble.)

IIRC he was showing this at the Wheels and Waves Show last April. Yes, a very nice fellow, he didn't seem to mind me drooling all over his motorbike

That 1500 FIAT is as nice as they get. I have never seen one restored to this standard, a real labor of love as the money can't be recovered, someone
should get a real bargain!!

Why does the name Martin Swig sound familiar? Does he write for Autoweek or Sports Car Market?

Very interesting story about an interesting guy! If I hadn't just bought a Fiat Spider, I would surely have bought his.

BTW, what's a "Datum"?

Ed:

Got my taillight lens today for the Fulvia from a guy who advertises Fulvia parts, and he's located in Beirut!

Still waiting on my front valance panel, though, from the Netherlands. Grrr..you would think things would travel through the networks faster from Europe than the Middle East...

Kraig, it could just be that the valence requires an oversize package, while the lens is fairly small. Or it could simply have been caught in a game of DHS Roulette; lot's of things are getting delayed these days as the feds try to protect us from rogue Lancia spares...

I ordered floor panels from Wil on 9/8, and they arrived this afternoon. Just a point of reference ...
