the lil flamer(lancia)

well a certain someone dragged me on a few car checkings and then a long road trip 700 miles 1 way me driving my rig...to have a look at a lil something...i got to meet some new characters on another leg i didnt drive...

ive put probably 2000+ miles on my body this weekend... very limited sleep etc ..but all in all had some great fund..but someone ows me a trip INTO infinion..not just the gate..nudge nudge...we were on time constraints

so...onto the "flamer"....randy has no idea i named it as such but...well i named it that the first pic i saw of the car.....after much going over every inch we agreed it would be a great project..be it resot, resto mod, or full on crazy...theeres a few great ideas on the drawing board but first thing first im going to find out if i can get it running..not driving just running..and take inventory on its needs etc....

loaded it onto the trailer in concord sunday night around 6ish...i got home around 6ish mondy.
i,.....am.....BEAT
youll ge more pic's when i get her up on the lift and up to the actual shop..right now she is simply home...rust is VERY minimal..i mean stupidly minimal

yup i made randy do the work of loading it nah i was keeping her inline on the trailer and making sure it didnt roll back..no brakes

i couldnt resist the shadows on the shrubs as i was doing 70 down the hwy after pulling out of the rest stop from a nap as the sun was just rising and not visable yet..it all seem soo ...fitting
she was awaken from her hibernation in a barn loaded onto a trailer in the cold as the sun had gone down but sky was still lit..her past slipped into the moon light and come out of the rest stop she had allready gone several hundred miles ..the sun was comming up leading the path to a new life and a rebirth from her slumber....like the pheonix adding to the "lil flamer"

a lil later the f350 rolled 150k

to be honest..i love the body..the rust i initialy found is so stupidly small im not concerned..the car is remarkably solid..even by arizona american iron standards..my 58 ford has more rust....the missing parts list seems...to be just a few things like the driveline...it seemed everything else was in the trunk....

a few days of rest and some updates will happen..and if randy wants to pop in..he wil

personaly i see a aston martin nose on a sort of RR tail..elegant and beautifull but needs some...refinement

Only one thing: that was Petaluma in Sonoma county where we picked her up. Concord is way on the east side of the Bayarea.

Stay tuned to this space y'all - watch Short work his magic!

These guys get around. I talked to them Saturday afternoon at Willow Springs.
Congrats on the Flaminia; good project and good home. In an ideal world I'd have some Lancias (I did have an SII Appia Berlina for a summer), but I'm overextended enough already.

Agreed? Slow down Chief. We'll see about that. I strongly suspect that Carlo will turn out to be "mistaken" about the price, and that will be that. But if the price turns out to be correct, how could I say no?

Much respect to anyone who takes on a project Flam berlina (nice colors, BTW). Good luck with it, and definitely please keep us posted.

In the meantime, which engine have you got? And which gearbox...?

well its got the v6 with 2brl and the 4spd transaxle...first order will be to "try and make the engine run..its not stuck....

but honestly...there is enuf room to wedge pretty well anything in that engine bay...the sheer size of the transaxle is insane ...the color i do love..but...i still see it as a wagon in my head...weather that happens or not i could easily see it...id like to see the same colors repeated with a bit of metal flake tossed in to help show off the lines better but the same color re-used

the aluminum drums are cool too...not buick finned cool but cool in there own way

i can work with/on..anything but some lancia "quirk trick and details will be required somewhere in here..unless the engine is a dud and i start going nuts with swaps....MUHAHAHAHAHA
