I still search the complete rear stabilizer (red marked). Maybe somebody even has individual parts? Also fits from earlier Fiat 1400 (to Nr.063323).

Nevertheless, the work goes on. One can still disassemble the old Italian shock absorbers and overtake. I discovered the mark of the dovetailing under much Italian and American dust.

One needs a lot of patience around all inaccessible places varnishes undercoat and twice. With an airbrush one also does not get everywhere.

The parts which are endangered by rockfall or a lot of friction is better sandblast and then with powder color coat.

Because two of four originals to instruments are lost (gasoline / Ampermeter and water temperature / oleograph) I must equip my car with three instruments. The speedometer with gasoline announcement is already overtaken, water temperature still needs new giver. I still want to let for the tachometer make a suitable chrome ring.

I found on the rear axle, like with my Fiat, an original lead seal with the label FIAT ITALY 52. I can the parts for the hand brake now again, without himself make dirty. Between three sheets of the push striving interpositions of plastic came, how in later Fiat 1400.

This is a terrific thread. The details of these older cars are so seldom seen, and the workmanship in restoration is beautiful. Thank you for posting.

Hi Jiri,

Why do you go for three instruments? Is it impossible to find the missing gauge?

An original of instruments are Tachomter, tachometer, oleograph, water temperature, Ampermeter and gasoline. These are very much hard 4 instruments get. Vintageautomobilia sells th,ree for 3,200 dollars (I have two of it). Thus is still absent me one. My two 14 cms Instumente and tachometers have all functions. I will as do that simply as in the red car.

Also fehlt mir immer noch eins.

Is the chrome ring for the tachometer the type that is flat with small concentric grooves? What is the outer diameter?
I may be able to help you.
Anton

"I still want to let for the tachometer make a suitable chrome ring."

It's always darkest just before it becomes totally black

Thanks very much for the offer. I believe it is easier here in Czechoslovakia the ring allow to make (I have a good man). I have two rings with the diameter 14 cms and need one with the diameter 10 cms. The diameters are measured in the instrument case.

I saw a Siata four instruments cockpit in Padoa. The car, with italian plate actually, came from the US market, scales were in miles.
I have the photo in my database, but i can't be able to insert it.

Some people have restored a Siata 1400. Some people have restored Fiat 1400. I have a disassembled Siata and a new front axle of Fiat. One must get on first which is inserted the axis about 180 degrees distortedly. What is in Fiat in front, is with Siata behind.
