Ferrari Stock Chart

Just discovered that Ferrari earnings are soaring and so is the stock. Headlines about "Sold Out Into 2019".
Then looked at the chart.

30 to 130 in 2 years.

Avatar is the 68 Super, bought new.

Worst thing to happen to Ferrari Spa IMO.

Just imagine what will happen to their product if their stock should drop ... CEO will panic and look for cost cutting and we will have a British Leyland/GM situation real quick ...

All is always rosy when stock is going up but get a CEO where that is their only focus and the true reason for their existence will quickly be forgotten. They already have limited their F1 spending ...

Ferrari Stock Chart

In addition to the stock price increase, they are also paying a dividend, of course, you have to pay foreign tax on it.

Rumors also abound that Magnetti Marelli will be spun-off FIAT later this year as Ferrari (RACE) was a couple of years ago. And somewhat later, probably years, Alfa Romeo and Maserati.

I would say a lot depends on if Marchionne stays and how long. He doesn't mind letting Magnetti go, but isn't anxious to let Maserati and Alfa Romeo go, while his primary focus appears to be on pursuing merger deals.

Who knows what will ultimately happen ...

They are not wasting their money on developing driverless cars.
