Alfa in movies...

Did you guys see the new alfa commercial on TV? it was for XM radio, it shows a guy driving a GTA Junior from the enterance through the elevator and up to his office! it is so awesome... Well I was wondering what actual movies have Alfas been in? either italian or american... besides obviously the graduate.

"The italian job" - Fleet of Polizia Giulias chasing Minis
"True lies" - with Arnold Schwarzeneger? - A Montreal is appearing for about 2 secs.
"The man of Marseille??" (title in Greece) with Michael Caine - Montreal chasing a Porsche 911 and GT1300 Junior.

“Alfa Romeo is not merely a maker of automobiles : it truly is something more than a conventionally built car. It is a kind of affliction, an enthusiasm for a means of transport. It is a way of living, a very special way of perceiving the motor vehicle. What it is resists definition. Its elements are like those irrational character traits of the human spirit which cannot be explained in logical terms. They are sensations, passions, things that have much more to do with man’s heart than with his brain”.

Gia (on HBO last night) - late 70s Spider. I didn't watch the whole movie, but there was quite a bit of it - including a car chase scene (a drugged Gia being chased by police).

I believe the real Gia drove a Fiat Spider, not an Alfa Spider

La dolce vita--many street scenes in Rome, so fleeting glimpses of Alfas. Police in scene where they're meeting Steiner's wife are driving Alfas.

8 1/2--I'm pretty sure there are some nice Alfas (at least a Giulietta, if I remember right) driving out to the sci-fi movie set at night.

Juliet of the Spirits--Nice Giulietta (or Giulia, I forget which) Spider driving beneath the trees under Suzy's tree house.

(I'm a big Fellini fan . . .)

i remember on Fox there was a documentary on Bonnano and the godfather was being driven aroun in a dark grey Alfa 166

in the godfather pacinos wife in sicily is blown up in a pre war alfa romeo, does neone know which one it is?? in the third godfather when pacino returns to sicily his being chauffered in maserati but is followed by a lancia and an alfetta sedan

in triple x with vin diesel, an alfa 164 is blown up and a gtv v6 appears briefly, in ronin a 75 gets destroyed in the tunnel during a chase

Current: 89' Milano Gold(sold)
Next: 164 S

Be warned though, Alfas can have a strange effect on owners; ‘Alfaholic’ a recognised condition among car enthusiasts

In Gone in 60 sec (the new one) when Cage is going to Angelina's garage, there is an yellow Alfetta GTV (it's elevated)near the car being fixed by Angelina.

In Bobby Deerfield (1977), Al Pacino (a race driver in Europe) drives all the movie an Alfetta GTV (it's even on the closing credits: Al Pacino's car: Alfa ...)

Giulia Sprint GT '64

thats because the scene was shot at Alfa Milano, an Alfa repair shop in Los Angeles.
