As many as it takes, but they will alternate between playing the 18th and 10th holes of the course only.

Well it only took the 18th and the 10th one time each.

No Master's sudden death play-off has ever required playing the 18th and 10th hole more than once. So if it had been required yesterday, it would have been another first for the Master's.
