Awesome. You rail on RC about his misuse of your/you're but you can't spell "contraction". I'll call that a contratraction in terms, where contratraction is a portmanteau of "your "living constitution" would, if it existed, suck". It would guarantee variable rights. Even the ones you like and want to be permanent. It would foment rule of man over rule of law, and be the very foundation for tyranny.

As to the reference to the militia, who wrote that? And what did he mean by militia? You might know. But even if you do, you can't quote him. It would argue against a living constitution.

I personally think that belief in a "living" constitution is counterrevolutionary.

(can you say stop and frisk?) As practical matter consider the three year old shoot accidentally by his father recently in western pa, briefly: dad went to sell his gun at a shooting range, he left the establishment and put his son in truck for the drive home, then dad got in the truck and the gun accidental discharged (why was it loaded to begin with?) and the child of three died almost instantly. what about the three year-olds inalienable right to life liberty and pursuit of happiness? (guarenteed by our founding document) Tell me how Nancy Lanza's gun made her safer? It seems to me, the gun zealots have a mantra and chant it like just a hare krishna does hers. Do clay pigeons even have wings?

I have not seen that "Living Document" tripe in decades, not since I escaped the Kali. public school indoctrination centers.
Once I got out into the real world where I had the freedom to do my own research I quickly learned what a sham the "Progressive Education" system is.

Our constitution is NOT a "Living Document", it is the baseline all lesser laws are measured against.
Those found unconstitutional have no authority, they are null and void for any purpose.

The second amendment does NOT confer any right, like the other constitutional amendments it CONFIRMS the preexisting right.
Even if the socialist expunged it in the morning the right to arms and self defense would still exist.

I can hope you eventually recognize these basic truths, but unlike those so intent on depriving us of our innate rights I will not force you to accept them.

Twin-Cam Hemi, Webers, Headers, Overdrive, Disc brakes, and no emissions equipment to spoil it all. These are gonna be FUN rides!

hope you enjoy my lousy typing, your and you're ain't typing; it's possession in one case and a verb (action) the other, I agree rights pre-exist the constitution, so do responsibilities. Watch out for those pigeons.

Ummn . . . Roger . . . ? You're writing twaddle. Although it's a stretch, I'm willing to guess that somewhere in your fevered consciousness there are few coherent thoughts that with a little work you might be able to stitch together into sentences that do a reasonable job of relating to each other. Who knows, you might even be able to put some meaning into a whole paragraph!

What you're giving us now, however, is a little hard to follow. So, why don't you sit back, take a deep breath and think about what you want to say next? Stream-of-consciousness-writing just isn't your style I'm afraid.

Thank you for the good will, Replying to my first three sentence post in this thread, I was told to leave this, my country! My ramblings made enough sense, that I was acused of being a "socialists" and "indoctinated" and had my "manhood" challenged. So I'll get back to wiring and tuning old cars; those applecarts are less messy when upset. BTW- Do virtual restorations require a suspension of disbelief?
