what kind of motorcycle do you have and want to have?

It's very interesting to see how many of you have it...
(Sorry if there is already a thread)

I just bought old Honda 700cc to get back to ride (haven't ridden for years). What a great feeling!! Acceleration is just unreal. Cannot wait to ride some later bikes...

I want to get older BMW or Ducati Monster S4R (I know they are completely different).

How about you?

I have always been a fan of the 60's-70's British Bikes.
Once had a BSA 500 MX that was great fun.

Now I am continually on a quest to find my perfect Norton 750 Commando.

Had a 1937 Harley flathead 74. Was louder than it was fast but what a great exhaust sound! Some things I don't miss, like the tank shifter and the rigid rear end but I think the good outweighed the bad.

Not exactly a road bike but probably the closest thing I will have besides the Vespa. It's a 1984 Honda ATC 200X. I use it a couple times a year. It's still in like new condition.

I've got my bike for life; a 1969 Harley shovelhead. It has about 350,000 miles on it so far, starts every time[though sometimes on the 20-50tieth kick!!], I've never towed it[done a lot of roadside wrenching though], I don't have to polish the chrome[it's an award winning Rat bike] and it gets noticed even in a crowd of prettier bikes["Does that thing run?? Seriously ??"]

It's all Italian for me. Here is the garage mate for my '69 Spider, a 2000 Ducati Monster 750.

Hard to choose - spend it on the GTV or spend it on a bike

My mom planted an irrational fear of motorcycles in my head years ago.

For me the Spider is my motorcycle (feels like it trapped between two SUV's on the expressway too).

But if fuel prices don't come down soon I may start thinking about a Honda Big Ruckus scooter.

I'm sort of with scott but not for exactly the same reasons. Mostly it is just the ducatis that appeal - although their Monster has never quite seemed good enough to pull the trigger. I recently saw the multistrada 1000ds and aside from being a bit odd ball it seems like a good mix of what I would want.
Actually I found a great site that has a review of the Ducati Multistrada - I would highly recommend visiting the site (as long as your wife / gf isn't around) Fast Dates Review

69 shovel? Haevy Metal Alfa

Yo Brother Its nice to see other Alfa guys riding a H. D. Harlys and Alfas for me for over 35+ years easy.
But you did not put a photo of your 69 Gen case FL up.
I know this Alt case Fx with the 73 up rear swing arm.
But show the crew the 69 Generator case. \ By the way Guys 69 is the last year with the generater case and was faster than the all new cone motor in the 70s.
I am wondering why this photo?
and where in the contry are you?
Have you seen in the last 30 years at any of the big events in the USA the red rat bike old FLH with a cow scull and train Air horns on the sadle bags? That my old room mate and best friend Milos . But the way my FLH has 188,000 miles with one lower end and dozens of Valve jobs. Shes been coat to cost 2 times and lots from Calif. to mid west.

Hey PSB,
My rat is a true rat-Frankenstien. It has a 75 engine, 77 1/2 low rider frame and most of the other bits and pieces are from a 69. It was re-VIN-ed by the state in 1980 as a 69. It will be loaded with camping gear and my rat guitar to go to the Statewide meet tomorrow. I should win Rat bike first place again unless my only competition shows up with roadkill bungeed to his rat again- not fair !!!
I think most Alfisti would consider my daily driver a Rat GTV-6 !!!

Looks a bit rough, still running great, my 10 year old rides it around the farm.

Yup, nothing too fancy like all you Ducati and HD guys.....I guess it goes right along with my poor ole Sport Sedan!!
Cacciar likes this.

Sperry Stage 3 Heads
Shankle 7L cams
Some springs, shocks and poly urethane sprinkled about!!
