Funny/Sad follow up...

Is that if I ever decide to sell the '84 Interceptor... I will get 2-3K+ more $$ than I could ever expect from the 164LS. Sad commentary, really if you think about it.

No, not thinking about selling the bike yet.... though now that I'm in a 'bike mind set' looking at the 2007 VFR800 25th Anniversary Edition and it has me tempted. VTEC engine,, EFI, linked braking system, ABS, Xenon headlights, single swing axle, and has the original paint scheme - Red, White & Blue (GBA). Very slick!... except for the price of admission....

I was not suggesting you sell it, but the website is much like this one, good information about working on it, where to get parts, and people love to post pictures. I have an '86 VFR700f with about 90k miles, I just got rid of a '91 VFR750f with about 55k miles, because I picked up a '96 with about 22k miles and I have my VFR750R (RC30) also.

I love the Aniv edition, but I think the 1000 you have is much more special!

Hmm, can't remember if I've posted here or not...

Started riding as an adult (can't really say grown-up...) with an '81 Honda CB650C. Bought it for $500, rode it for a few years and sold it for $500 so all it cost me was oil, gas & tires.

Then I bought a 1991 Honda ST1100. Likely all the bike I'll ever want/need. Great for both commuting and long distance rides. I've been from Maine to Florida and as far west as Idaho.

I've got a Ural. I had wanted a BMW r75 ever since I was a little kid. Saw them in movies and whatnot and fell in love with them. The Ural is a nice alternative to the real thing

I also have a China scooter that I bought to try to improve my riding skills with. Not sure that it helped, lol...

I'm not really much of a two wheel person so I'm not sure what other motorcycles I'd want. The idea of a comfortable bike that the wife and I could take on road trips sounds appealing, but not enough to justify the price of something like a Goldwing for me.

The Ural is pretty neat. It makes regret the BMW with a side car I saw for sale when traveling in Greece 30 years ago. With the exchange rate then it would have been about 400.00 US. Plus the shipping. A few days later I mentioned it to my friend I was back packing with. He told me no problem we could drain the gas out of it and get it put on the plane as cargo. I would only be a couple of hundred dollars. Both his parents worked for TWA. But the bike was in Crete and we were already back in Athens.

Just one more regret in the journey of life. Like the GTC I could have bought for 1500.00.

Currently riding my 2000 ZX12R Ninja. It's my 2nd one, had a 2005 also. I prefer a ZX10R which I sold a few years ago but this ones a beast. Currently on the lookout for a 2000 to 2005 Interceptor but they are hard to find with low miles. My current Ninja only has 15,000 on it. I bought it 3 years ago with 7,500.

And just acquired my second Bimota. Became very interested in the Bimota brand after test riding an SB6R at a dealer. My first one was the YB10, pretty much a track bike for the streets. The second one is the SB8R, a TL1000R powered twin, a freakin torque monster
