A great deal depends if you like mechanical devices.

Well I blew some money on this but I love it. Autodromo Monoposto with Chronograph. I don't think anyone else has posted a photo of one yet. I found a used one on eBay for half the list price. A lot of watch aficionados think it is silly, but I like the motorsports vibe, and it is my only nice watch. The red stripe between the 10 and 11 o'clock positions is painted on the crystal and is supposed to represent the red line on a tach, while the whole theme is supposed to be reflective of instruments on a dashboard. Every once in a while a car guy notices it and that of course makes my day.

I have destroyed more watches than I care to think about. So far I have killed two Rolex watches, one Seiko (they told my wife it was indestructible), and another I forget. Onboard ship I would beat the watch against the bulkheads or the ladders (Steam snipe). Sailing, Kayaking, climbing, working on cars (I forget and leave it on). The current everyday is Garmin Fenix 5X Sapphire. It is going on two years with a new band and no scratches. I love the GPS and heart rate features. I know - how can you drive an Alfa with a watch that requires charging.... It is what it is.
