Nassau Museum of Art Car show 9/17/06

including "Demonstration runs" with NYAROC present. This was an interesting event but needs some "bugs" worked out if it will be an ongoing future success. There needs to be some sort of coordination of Long Island car events because there was (at least) 2 other major events going on yesterday - Vettes at the Vanderbilt (an event I normally participate in ) and a car show for Prostrate Cancer. Events on the Island struggle in July and August while now we have 3 in one day

The show for those that didn't like to drive fast I talked to the owner of the red Ferrari in the 3rd photo. Before we started talking, he came over and was admiring the GTV - said he had one before (how many have found out that it just about seems EVERYONE had one ). I asked him what he had now and he said the Ferrari I told him I'd trade him even up and "I didn't even hear your car run" and I like my Alfa a whole lot! Sorry GTV but that Ferrari 365 GTC4 was stunning.

Demonstration runs
The TVR was FAST. Flat out without braking thru the cones
The NASCAR stocker, while a nice photo, was slower than krap

Hey Fred, I guess Fran fibbed a little when she told me didn't smoke cigars?? Thanks for the photos. We did a little more on the front end today and made positive improvements. Joe

Fred, just remember that trap speed can be deceiving when the flow is smooth and there is no herky jerky of the wheel and brakes!!
