Thanks Richard - that's the one. Related to Playboy of all things. Something with Playmate of the year getting a new GTV6 as part of the prize.
Leave the rest to your imagination!

I'll look out for the book, I have seen it forsale on the web. I think your right about the "Special Edition' vehicles, normally a week attempt to increase sales. I'm all for special edition vehicles if there are genuine improvemnets to the car, ie, leather, HP, wheels, brakes, etc but paint on paint on everthing....well just looks cheap.
Once I have finished with the transformation from white to black trim I'll post some pics. I have started already and the black trim on white looks stunning, crisp and modern.......

|alfavirusnz||If you get hold od a copy of Spotlight On Alfa Romeo Downunder Part Two have a look at p38 . The top photo shows a GTV6 "Andalusa" which is the all white Aussie special.-Different rims though but car phot`d could have been fitted with extra cost optional alternatives-still hideous though but one of a couple of tasteless special edition models marketed in Australia (No doubt influenced by those tasteless US dealer specials). At this stage of the 116 coupe`s life they were a bit harder to move as contempory motoring journalists generally pushed the newer Porsche 944`s , and the 116 coupe had been in the market since `75.|

When are you looking to sell your silver one David? And can you PM me a rough price-range you want for it?

|humpster||The seller was told it was a 3.0l out of a 75, I think he just took the seller at his word. I looked at the rear of the drivers side head, and there it was "2.5" in raised numbers. It certainly had no more go that my silver GTV6, in fact it has a little less punch. Very tight and smooth though, engine has seen some work at same stage I'm sure. After the test drive I found my self scratching my head, thinking, if that's a 3.0l then there's something wrong with it and the new reconditioned 3.0l in my garage awaiting transplant is a waste of money :-(. Anyway it's going to be a 3.0L in the coming weeks....can't wait. Anybody need a 2.5?|

Why was it listed as a 3L?
I thought the 3L engines had "6C" on them making them pretty clearly different from the 2.5s visually? or am I completely wrong?

|Stravs||Glad to see it being looked after rather than wrecked.|

Alfa Australia did do a couple of all white cars as promotions; maybe it's one of those. Long time ago but by memory they called them "Appaloosa" or some such thing.
