My word. I guess after 11 years on here it makes perfect sense that my 11th post would be this expression of gratitude and wonder.
Here at 62 and with too many hobbies, I have been buying and selling cars and guitars and stereo stuff on the 'net for as long as there has been one. And I am completely confident that I have never enjoyed a smoother, more confident, and mutual transaction than this (almost) one with Schuey. He was in every single way I can imagine, and then some, eminently responsive, completely trustworthy, and abidingly collaborative. His euphemizing of the "logistical issue" was very kind to me and to the difficulty caused both of us, and mostly him, in trying to get this wonderful car from its home in Vancouver to mine in Georgia (USA, that is). It turned out to be initially inconvenient but ultimately systemically and financially unworkable. What was supposed to be play turned into work, and that is when we both knew to walk away. No one, indeed, is to blame, and it was in fact a mutual agreement.
I confess that I am more than a little disappointed with not being able to give home to this car that he has restored and maintained so painstakingly. If it is available in the future, and I have not found another '82 back-dated to this standard, I may just fly to Seattle/Vancouver and drive it home. It would be worth the trip were my circumstances different.
But I am delighted that Schuey has fallen in love with it yet again and that he can enjoy it for what time remains.
And I am beyond delighted to have been reminded of fundamental human goodness and integrity.

|Schuey||After a logistical issue this car has not sold and after further consideration, this car will not be for sale. I will be keeping her. Again, thanks to the AlfaBB for the kind comments and great resource for us to use. Sure beats CL. This was a mutual agreement between buyer and seller and neither is to blame.|

|Markkunkel||Thank you, ballough510. The hunt has been great fun. Once I decided I wanted a backdated 1982, done right, there really wasn't much more choice to make. I hope I have all kinds of fun in this one for many years to come.|
