I know not being an expert, it would greatly help me to see the different years and models posted in one place. Maybe those of you lucky enough to own these beauties can post the pics here so we could have one thread for quick reference and comparison?

I think front and rear and 3/4 shots, as well as interior and engine shots would be great. Really, any pics at all. Post as many detail shots as you want, I know someone will benefit and it could spark a lot of discussion. I can't believe how many incredible and varied cars there are on this board, and seeing them on one thread would make it convenient to compare and contrast.

Thanks in advance to everyone who posts pics and comments. Maybe if we get enough participation, this thread could be made a sticky so it's always at the top?

Well there it is! I wondered when this car would show up in photos. Very nice. So no troubles with jets and altitude?

As a teen, I traveled over that pass every day for a summer helping my dad do his geology work. We stayed in a dumpy motel next to a single chair lift in Aspen, walked to an ice cream shop after dinner. The central park was lined with VW busses (and some of his students!). There were no fur shops or private jets. I haven't been to the new Aspen so those pics are still in my head.

I'd like to take my Duetto over Beartooth Pass into Yellowstone Park, so from my house at 3000' to over 11,000. I assumed I'd have mixture issues.

Welcome!

I was always concerned with jetting but I cant even go to the grocery store without loosing 1000ft. I don't know enough to start messing with things that much so I have a spare set of plugs with me and keep AAA up to date.
Keep those memories, you might be disappointed with the way things are in Aspen. Still a great place but I have to admit to looking at the real estate adds for New Zealand.
Have to add a huge thank you to all the contributors to this awesome BB. I have learned a lot but still feel like I've only scratched the surface.

1750 Berlina

After a few years being seduced by classics from Japan, England and France, I am finally back to Alfa again. Having owned a number of Giulia’s, a GTV6 from 1985, a 156 and a couple of others I finally got my hands on a really nice 1750 Berlina from 1970. It has a 2000 front grille and light set-up but other than that, oh and the 2,0 litre, it’s pretty stock. I was also looking after an Alberta GT, chrome bumper model, but the one I wanted got away. And in some way, luckily, given tha;’t the Berlina is really growing on me.
In a couple of weeks I’ll be off to Oldtimer Grandprix to Nürnburgring with a few friends travelling in a different groups. Giuletta Veloce, Fiat 128 Rallye and my Berlina in on group, meeting up along the way with friends in Fiat Dino Coupe, Porsche 912, Datsun 240Z - all devoted and passionate drivers that use their classics to the full. It’ll be a round trip of around 2.000kms on country roads - going to be good.

The subtle differences of the early Giulia's make such a difference in my eyes. Although nothing is off course wrong with a later Giulia ;)

The battery was not being charged off and on. I was stubborn/stupid enough to think we still had enough juice for some more kilometers, obviously I was wrong...

Got the battery out of the Junior, back to the Giulia, installed it and home we went. Still need to figure out what on earth is the problem. Alternator was tested and alright, swapped the regulator over from the Junior which didn't help. This weekend I'll swap the alternator and regulator between the Giulia and the Junior to see wether the problem is in either of those.

Love that color combo, faggio over tan. Looks like a proper well-sorted car. Are those Solexes?? Congrats. ROADTRIP!!!

Yep, Solex carbs. Seller had just recently had them redone. Pretty on the outside at least.

Here’s my 67
Nice!

Tom,
Nice super. Looks exactly like mine - or how it was when I got it. Same year, engine (yes, solex) Faggio over tan with rubber mats as carpet. I've since done lots of work but still kept the colors. Send me a PM if you're interested in my resto-photo gallery. I'll be driving my Super back up from FLA this spring to CT. Perhaps we can meet up.
PM sent, car looks great!

Finally lowered

Here’s a couple of pictures. One from road trip in summer to Oldtimer GrandPrix in Germany at the Nurburgring.
The other is from autumn prior to lowering - and last one taken a few hours ago after fitting new bushes, springs and shocks.

2018 Berlina year

its been a long time since I was here. Latest addition is a 2000 Berlina that I bought in Sweden. (it was originally delivered there in 1972, driving most of its life in Norrland which is musquito land in summer and freezing cold in winter)
In August we had a special line up at Zandvoort at the Spettacolo for 50 years Berlina. Some 20 Berlina's in total turned up over the weekend. Picture 1
And in October we had a special 50 year Berlina tour. You see most of the Berlina's gathered here at the finish.
2018 was a real Berlina year!

Some more of my Berlina.
Changed the carbs from 45 mm weber to 40 mm. Take up was very rough and only at 3000 rpm would it become smooth. Put in some NOS Carello headlights.
Shaped up the wood on the dashboard.
Next thing to tackle is the gearbox, 2nd gear syncro is non existent. Then put it on the rolling road to optimize.

I don't think it takes much expertise to realize that Berlina's are soon going to be The Next Big Thing. Berlina's are truly satisfying Alfa rides. The extra wheelbase, makes for great long-distance touring while the basic 105 suspension guarantees the kind of crisp handling we expect from our Alfas.

And good ones are getting rare!

Here's my Next Big Thing; '69 US 1750, converted to single booster and Webers. It's cold here in Chicago.

Todd, Very nice find and spectacular color combination! I'm the Gary up in Washington state who was this close to ending up with your '69 Super before you and your daughter had a little fender bender in L.A. leading to your decision to hold onto it. I've had my Super that was shipped over from Belgium since 2007.
