Perhaps we'll see you at California Speedway in December.
Wow Bob, this gives new meaning to stacked Italian beauties!

sidewaysalfa Here are a few I have.
The Corkscrew was taken Sat evening after the Group Photo, Mike E and I stopped there to pay some respects to our friend Paul Ellis who passed away in the Spring. Mike is trying to not fall over as he stood straight up.
The group photo with 16 of the 28 Alfas that were on the track. I guess about 10 more "civilian" Alfas drove out just to hang around and a few of those got some lunchtime track time. A bunch of Giulia and maybe Giulietta Spiders showed up.
The last one is titled "The Only Accessory Required"

nizam This is "Plum", my latest Milano Verde refurbishment project. It's got a fresh coat of paint, brand new upholstery, fresh street pads, fluids, coolant hoses and R888s for the weekend. It's kind of a rare car as it's a factory original no-sunroof Verde. It did OK, but driving it reminded me why I modded the heck out of my other Milano (the blue #16 car).

The Giulias and 4Cs dominated the Alfa-Only run group. But a few less-quick drivers should be mindful of the older cars that were quicker 'round corners than they were (by a large margin). Overall though, the traffic was manageable.

At the end of the Saturday, we had a group photo taken on track. The official photo will be in the magazine soon, I imagine.

I forgot what award this was called, but everyone agreed Wesley's exit strategy at T11 was best complimented with the TP he was awarded.

nizam There were a LOT of Alfas this time. From memory, there must have been more than two dozen Alfas of various generations.

I'm sure Paul Blankenship will be by shortly to give an accurate count.

nizam Also got a few pictures of the pit area.

nizam We had a little bit of fun with the amount of wrenching and fixing we saw in the garages. A little game of Bingo was quickly organized.

Attachment 1532994

We had lots of time to catch up with fellow gearheads.

And there's something special about laying out the folding chairs and picnic tables trackside. There were some fun viewing of the exit of Turn 11.

nizam Next morning we were up bright and early. It was foggy at the coast.

But the sky was clear at the track. Driver's meeting.

Attachment 1532980

Unfortunately, I had a misbehaving car, so it was time to wrench. Glad AROSC had these garages for rent.

Some pics from the Laguna Seca Event

Echoing @Racer Z, once again the AROSC put together a fantastic weekend of fun and friends, and for those with faster cars ... good lap times!

We arrived at Laguna Seca on Friday evening.

Attachment 1532970

Yup we're in the right place.

Attachment 1532972

We unloaded the cars of the usual trackside necessities (tools, floorjack, jackstands, etc.)

Attachment 1532974

and headed to dinner. Monterey never disappoints this time of year.

Racer Z What a great weekend! I had way too much fun. Weather was perfect, couldn't be any more perfect even if we had planned on it. Car ran great and I felt good out there on the track. Thanks Don and everybody else who helped put this event on.

Perhaps we'll see you all at California Speedway in December.
