Congrats again, Herve -- it must be great to see that several potential buyers appreciate your work!

This is a massive result - congrats. I've been waiting for these and the 2000's to be re-rated and maybe this is the start. If you look at 1900 prices and even the 190SL (I don't get that one) the Touring Spiders have lagged. These are rare and when they suddenly become very desirable demand outstrips supply, in this respect they are unlike houses. In my experience when a model goes bang on price it will generally settle at a lower level when a few more become available but still higher than pre-bang.

Don't get me wrong, the car is stunning , but prices are going too high for what they are , these cars are not great cars they are not great driving cars , with their skinny wheels and hit and miss carbs, and don't get me started on the steering , any car that has a forum like this ,and is full of people trying to find the best conversion for this and that is not saying its worth that sort of money , I would rather buy a Ferrari 512 BB , which is also rare , having said all that I love my 2600 spider ,but in small doses . Hoping I don't get expelled !! Chris

Generally all old cars are slow and ponderous, none are fast, some are just less slow than others. On a long drive I love my 2000 Spider, it's certainly a better car to drive than the DB4 I spent a week with recently. As for values who the hell knows, this result sets a new high bar but that's all.
