intune I don't think that was the one. That was listed in mid-February. I called the guy too, but someone was already on the way to look at it. Half-an-hour later it was gone.

VerdeVeepster maybe this was the one that was on the boston craigslist for 5k a month ago...

no one here ever claimed to have bought it but i know that it was purchased the day after it was posted because i was scheduled (the earliest the owner claimed to have been available i'd like to add) to see it the next morning!!!

silverspider Lord pray it does not wind up at the NYPD Pound In Erie Basin in Brooklyn. It will sit outdoors again.

"I once was lost, but now I'm found...."

I cannot imagine anyone really abandoning that Alfa . On the other hand, it is often difficult to understand others motivations . Perhaps it has been "liberated" from the street to go on to a home where someone will appreciate it! Lets all keep an eye on E-bay and Craigs list!

I think it's time to check the city auctions...

silverspider If it wasn't put on a flatbed, nothing good could have happened. IMHO.

The cop on the beat is obviously an Alfa buff

Zunige It also very, very strange that the car has not been towed... Usually, its one ticket and next thing you know the tow truck is hauling it away... (Yes, I do know about these things! ) I have never seen NYPD allow a car to just sit there for days with tickets, and not have it towed.

Best regards,
Enrique

If it were a Veloce, I would be taking it home myself - to help the owner, of course.

silverspider Weird. Either that car is stolen or the owner is in the hospital/dead.

Hit an Apex Let me add if the city tows that it will probably never be seen again...

However, I have a few safe places it could live until the owner calls the DMV

Hit an Apex Is it still there? WHATS THE CROSS STREET?!?!?!?

81gtv6 Call up the DMV and get a name and number. If it was my car i would rather have you tow it than the state!!
