I'm wondering if that is an Alfa connector or something 'aftermarket'. The round connectors don't look familiar to me (but I haven't replaced an entire wire harness...). When you say 'left side' is that as if seated in the car facing forwards?
What wire diagrams do you have? If you do not have a copy of Papajam's (Jim Neil, RIP) color-coded wire diagrams, send me a PM with your email address.

We are replacing a wire harness of my 1987/1988
USA Spider. We dealing with differences. There is one connector that cant be found in any wire diagram. See picture. Its on the left hand side
under the dash close to a G73 connector.
Its a 9 connectionplug; 7 of them are used.. anyome a clue? I already own a 1988 Papajam diagram, but its not on it.
