tubut John's notion may be correct.

I found very little information about the person and/or the company. It appears Ed Astri raced a Giulietta Spider Veloce in the early 1960s (see here). This indicates he was familiar with the marque.

Throughout his 1965 catalog (I have a copy), he used the company logo shown on the title page below. The catalog contains two separate sections on Borrani and "Astri Minilite" wheels. The Minilite wheels used a different logo than the one shown on most catalog pages, a stylized "AM" as shown in the picture of a wheel further below.

So, I think it's conceivable that Ed Astri made private label wheels for Alfas. The style of the badge shown gives me the impression that it might be late 1970s to mid-1980s. Hopefully, somebody has or can dig up a catalog or brochure or magazine ad that could prove it.

Significance of "EA" in Alfa history

Todd Spruell is selling some very cool wheel center caps stamped with a uniquely stylized Alfa cross and serpent and "EA" at the center of the cross. It seems to me I've read about EA before but I can't locate any info now. I gather it was a racing entity, but does anyone have insights on the history here?
