We have just finalized plans for our 2016 Customer Appreciation Day - Saturday May 7th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We hope anyone in the area who is available will join us for a fun couple of hours. As usual the plan is for everyone to attend the Cars & Coffee event (95th and Arapahoe Rd.) in Lafayette and then make their way over to our event for lunch and an Alfa-specific car show and other events.

One major change this year is the venue - we are hosting the event at Community Park in Louisville, located at 955 Bella Vista Drive. This park is just a few miles South of Cars & Coffee.

While we have had some great open houses in the past at our warehouse we realized we just do not have enough space for cars or people. Community Park is a very nice setting and we have reserved the entire East parking lot and pavilion for our event. There are plenty of things for kids to do and the park is just blocks away from downtown Louisville with shopping and a Saturday morning farmer's market for family members to enjoy.

Here are some of the events we have planned:

  • An informal Alfa concours with $100 gift certificates for best open and best closed car. Winners are decided by us and bribery is not discouraged.
  • Alfa Club tent with parts swap meet - free for customers to buy and sell parts
  • Bocce ball matches at the courts near the pavilion
  • Catered Lunch - TBD but will be selected from several excellent local vendors
  • Sweet Cow ice cream truck will make an appearance
  • Since the event is being held remotely we cannot sell parts the day of the event. However each attendee will get a coupon for 25% off a single order which they can use during the month of May.

More events may be added as things progress. It should be a really nice event this year.

We have a couple of exciting updates on this event:

  • Karen Macgowan of Alfa West has agreed to present us with a lunchtime slideshow of her visit to Alfa's Portello and Arese factories in 1966!
  • AutoNation Alfa Romeo/Fiat will be participating and bringing some demo cars to the event (models TBD at this point). This is a great opportunity for prospective buyers to ask questions in a low-pressure environment.
  • Sandro will organize an "Alfa Parade" between Cars & Coffee and our event, which should be pretty cool to see.
  • Catering will be taken care of by Brother's BBQ - a local Colorado favorite that has always given us great service and delicious food at our previous events.

Thanks to everyone who has inquired - we definitely want you guys to know this is a rain or shine event!

While it looks like we may have some storms in the afternoon we hope to still squeeze in a great event.

See you all at 10:00! And of course if you can only come by for a while that's great as well, it's very informal.

Thanks to all our customers that turned out today. We had a great spread of Alfas from the 1950s - 2016 - Giuliettas, Spiders, GTVs, a GTV/6, several nice Milanos and 164s, and a bunch of 4Cs!

We joked that Alfisti are hearty but the weather really turned nasty with bitter cold, rain, and then hail right after the event ended. We are grateful that people did show up and hope you all enjoyed yourself.

Karen's slideshow was really a treat! Worth sticking around for!

Here are some quick snaps, I'll put together a full gallery once I dry out.

You guys are brave in Colorado, Joe! You need to come to our CnC in Austin.

BTW: Your Super looks a little different now. Did you change the suspension? It looks a bit lower.
