DPeterson3 I'm convinced humans are entirely overrated as a species.
M. Twain advised us that one goes to heaven for the weather, and hell for the companionship.
A. Bierce observed that the ocean is a body of water covering three quarters of this Earth, a world man for man.... who has no gills.
I truly aspire to an undiluted and unrestrained misanthropy. It reduces the time filling out Xmas cards, increases the amount of blessed silence, and prevents me from being arrested for *****-slapping fools.
Curmudgeonly behavior is a joyous expression of the exalted state of enlightenment called misanthropy.
Dizzy Dean noted that "it ain't bragging if you can do it".
And...
To be content and completely alone requires a well developed sense of self.

aralfa8589 sesquipedelianism

Now that I know what it means, I've got to work it into conversations!

Subtle I'll make it easier:
Stamp out sesquipedelianism!

aralfa8589 I look downright ebullient in that photo (any excuse to post a picture of your Alfetta)!
And I'm pretty sure 'curmudgeonness' is a gender specific noun...

Subtle The title has Big Words that remind of a campaign I started a few years ago:

"Eradicate sesquipedelianism"

Alfisto Steve I have heard we get older and then we die. Meanwhile back at the garage My Alfas are calling me to take one for a morning ride.

jc96 I remind my wife (anyone else that'll listen as well) that this is why men die first. We want to. ciao. chris

RandallM Have you ever researched into the Army experiment that was conducted in Boonville? Are your neighbors suffering from similar symptoms? Have you noticed any skin discoloration, graying and thinning of hair? Has your doctor recommended you for a colonoscopy.

aralfa8589 It's been a couple of years and my affliction has endured...

Threads on best sounding exhaust-my Milano sounds sorta funky at idle. Not so much over 3500 RPM. Same with the GTV, 164, and GTV6. Guys that debate this sort of thing on the internet have chronic wedgies.

There's a thread about minor issues with one of the better small parts vendors. If I severed ties with a supplier at the first screwup, I'd have been walking years ago.

I fear that I'm edging toward misanthropy as I get older. That's an easier word to spell so it's good.

Farace Sounds like my ex-mother-in-law (ex, so now I can talk about her!). And it was so fun to push her buttons. I remember sitting with my ex-wife and her, watching some politician ranting about this and that, one being that he was in favor of a woman's right to choose. I said, "I don't know why women are so up in arms about the right to choose when they can't make up their minds anyway." Oooooh, did I get a look. She had been a member of CORE in the '60s, and at times would rant on intolerant people, so one time I asked her, if she is prejudiced against bigots, didn't that make her a bigot, too? Oh, boy. Curmudgeons are so much fun. They're like a toy with a pull string, just yank their chain a little and it gets them going. I think she's glad I'm no longer family.
