Is the ribbon type speedo fitted to this car? I presume single carb engine like the 1600Ti?

No i wish (I like the old style look with that great wheel that went with them), it's a 69 and came with the two individual gauges, with fuel, water and oil pressure combined. Just need a ally crimp end for the tacho cable, apparently i can get it fixed.

Looks very nice Alex!

Did you get the 155's camblet etc. done?

I'm in the process of killing rust on the GTV over the next few weeks.

Merry Xmas to you and Helene.

My 164QV

Hi Aaron,

Yes, did the 155 belt change plus the water pump. Also fitted a repair kit to the variator. It now works well with no start up rattle. The cam locks were easy to fit, so we know the timing is spot on. The engine is running a treat now. It took about 4 hours of work to complete the job, that is with two of us.

Hope the rust repairs go well for you. See ya.

Alex.

Garage
I posted a couple of pics of my new daily driver over on the pictures forum. I thought I should post them here as well.

In the background is my Alfetta which is (very) slowly being worked on as and when money, parts and time are available. Unfortunatly they're not often available at the same time!

The 75 is certainly a bit different to the Alfetta. More refined and civilised, but when you stir it up a bit it really takes off. And the handling is pretty **** good!!

Nice one Rik

I remember this on TradeMe a while back and then spoke to David H when he came to look at the 90. He mentioned then he was going to sell a 75TS he had just bought. Good to see it go to a good Alfa home as so many TSs are getting broken up for their engines/LSDs these days.

Your one has very low kms if I remember correctly? Has to be one of the nicer ones around.

Agree re. the handling difference between the Alfetta GT/GTV and the TS. Really noticable driving the two cars down the same road/same speed one after the other.

I'm going to have to come out and have a look when I get my TS sometime?

PS I no longer need the brake removal thingy as I have decided to get rid of the 90 one way or another.

Regards, Aaron
