Just who do you think pays for the content to be on the TV?

I sense that Hamilton is feeling his chances slipping away and his emotions won't help him bring them back.

@ARwrench:

After a couple of tries, I got down to 0.255. What was Bottas' time? Or yours?
If my time is crummy, I can blame it on the fact that I'm 73 years old.

Regards

My best was 0.066 after numerous try's but most of the times were 0.2XX's +/-
You got 8 years on me

Bottas was like 0.001-

Great 'time' on your part! But Bottas' time was a fluke...he guessed & got lucky!

Weird qualifying today. Q1 was in 'semi-wet' conditions w/ all on Inters(rain-tires), altho Alonso ran his last lap(in Q1) on slicks & had fastest lap=No. 1 heading into Q2! Q2 & Q3 run on slicks...Hamilton wound up P1 w/Kimi P2 &
Vettel=P3.
Lots of 'grid-penalties' will affect tomorrows start...Bottas was P4 but will start
P9...Alonso received a '30 Position Penalty', so does that mean he has to start from London? Stupid. Ricciardo, altho he had mechanical issues & never got out
of Q1, was hit w/a 5 position penalty for gear-box(I think) change.
Hamilton's winning the P1 spot puts him one 'pole' behind Schumaker's Pole record! (Grojean[sp?] had a 'run-in' w/Hammy during qualies & the Stewards were investigating...I doubt they'll pull Lewis off the Pole)

Regards

@ARwrench:

Maybe Vettel's little 'bump' of Lewis in the previous GP was warranted(?).

Watching the film clip, doesn't look like it, not that I'm a real fan of Hammie. I wish Alonso had a decent drive, instead of that lousy McLaren.

Weird ending to that race. I guess the season begins anew.

And poor Alonzo, screwed again by McL. What a sorry bunch, with no help from Honda.

My oh my! My RedTeam locked-up the Front Row! Vettel(P1) broke the Hungaroring lap record by over 2 seconds w/Kimi right behind! Bottas & Hamilton 2nd. row, RBR 3rd. row.
Tomorrow's GP could be a 'barn-burner'!
A bit confusing---the commentators were calling the Mercedes' race cars the "long-wheel-base" cars...confusion: I'd thought that 'formula-cars' would all have the same wheel-base(?)...

Regards

ps-Alonso made it into Q3 & attained P8! Bravo Fernando!

I have not seen the rule book on wheelbase, but I don't think there is an exact figure. I would guess a range, or maybe a limit. Each team would be free to use a wheelbase within that range or not to surpass a limit. Aerodynamics and engine power along with the wheelbase and other things would give the car its characteristics. If Mercedes and Ferrari are pretty close on power, maybe the wheelbase becomes one of the distinguishing aspects on a per track basis, or becomes apparent on a track like this one.
