PLUM - Refreshing a Milano Verde 3.0V6

I bought this Milano in 1993 from the original owner. It was anthracite and was a great daily driver. This is one of those rare non-sunroof Milano Verdes imported into the USA. Most came with sunroofs.

For those familiar with HWY 85 in the Bay Area, California, I took this picture before the 17-101 connector section was opened.

I've documented at a high level the "before and after" pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/6FsYua7

To cut to the chase, though, here's what it looks like today. Another Milano refreshed for the next generation! Only took 4 years to complete ...

Thanks.

We picked that color after looking at Ferraris and Porsches with similar shades. Alfa Romeo also offers Rosso Brunello on its newer cars like the 156 and 916 GTV. Turns out the Milano/75 looks fantastic in that color too.

Great job Nizam! Way to go for an interesting color. The factory grey is so boring on these cars as it completely erases the trim line. Bring it down to SoCal!

Nizam that looks great. Now that I see that color I can't believe Alfa didn't offer it here!

Thanks, @peakay and @JoeCab. That color is surprisingly "common" around us, but looks startlingly good on a Milano.

Another example of where this shade of dark red with brown undertones is on the Maserati Granturismo. I took this picture at the last Concorso Italiano.

In any "refresh" or "restoration", there's a lot of detail that needs to be attended to. Be wary you may get a heavy case of "while I'm in there-itis" .

Hi @DOM!, what details were you looking for? I've thrown details on the link

But if you have more specific questions I could answer them here.

Nizam,

That's exactly what I was hoping for. Nicely documented.

I have been working on getting my Verde back on the road and it helps to see.

Thanks!
