    Yup they are on tight I broke the old spindle getting it off & had to repaint with airfix model paints to restore it. The rivets do come out, I dont remember having to drill them, but you do need the heads to plug the holes as you need to drill the dial to fit the new tach. What date is the spring day? I have the prop shaft out at the mo fitting a paul spruell explosion protector as I have broken 2 giubo's already! You are welcome to pop down & see my alfa Im in Bidenden Kent TN27.

    Yes, We have spoken before. I used to have id Chris Fella but changed it to this. I would like to come down one day in the spring to take a look at yours. Are you going to the Spring Alfa day at Duxford, Cambs?
    Oh and still can't find your post on the conversion of the gauges. How does the needle come off the old unit. Mine seems to be stuck on good. Also are those rivets which hold the dial to the main body of the cable feed counter?
