I'm not sure how to use this visitor thing--In the day, mirrors on many two-seater sports cars were mounted quite forward. It provides a larger perspective. Most would have been mounted by dealers or the new buyer.
On the springs--if non of the coils are broken--give the old ones a try.
I have just purchased my long sought after 1966 Giulia Spider 1600 and am absolutely elated. My question relates to the outside mirrors. The car includes 2 mirrors that were mounted forward on the front fenders. In my searching for similar cars, I have seen many mirror styles in different mounting positions. Were these mirrors factory mounted, dealer installed, or different as a result of being sold in different countries, ie Canada, US, UK etc? Absolutely everything else on the car is as it was for the original owner. My desire is to keep the car original.
