    Apologies -
Went out to see my mechanic today and get some pictures of my engine.... he has talked me out of selling my engine. He’s offered me a swap on doing some work on my car - install a Limited Slip Diff (they were optional in 1971) and a few other things.

He cautioned me, that in his experience, buying a complete engine that isn’t in a running car is like buying a pig in a poke, and selling one is like selling a pig in a poke. You don’t know exactly what will be in the bag. For example, almost any engine that has been sitting with no coolant in it will probably need a water pump, and buyers won’t expect that, so everyone ends up unhappy somehow.

So I apologize again for leading you on, and wish you luck with your restoration.
