New To DFW Area - Car Registration Questions

Dallas Area Alfa Folks,

I have recently relocated from Cincinnati, OH to Frisco, TX and have brought down 2 Alfa's.

I have a restored 1969 GTV (mild mods and w/full roll cage) and a stock 1994 Spider Veloce, CE. Both are in very good condition.

What is the proper registration for these?

I see VTR-54 Antique Vehicle - assume no
I see VTR-850 Classic - assume this is it for the 1969
I see VTR-852 ASE Safety Inspection & Application for Custom Vehicle and Street Rod License Plates

Neither car has a front license plate mounted (or ever will by me). So, what are my options for the 1994...wait a couple of years to register?

Thanks for any help or words of advice before getting my vehicles registered.

Tom Alkire

'94 Spider Veloce CE, '69 GTV (fast road/ track day car)
'65 Giulia Super (project car), 1 '67 Giulia Super Parts Car

Welcome to North Texas Tom. Glad you are here! You will find a fairly active car scene here. I'm so glad you brought your cars but unfortunately I don't think our roads will compare well to what you drive up in Ohio. The good part is we can drive our cars most of the year.
As an Alfa guy I would recommend joining our Club "The Italian Car Club Of The Southwest' We meet monthly and put on a car show called ItalianCarFest in Grapevine each September. It may be a great way to meet other Alfa guys. Im not usually the "joiner" type but have really enjoyed the club and count several members as close friends now.
I have a 73 and would love to meet up at some point if you are up for it. Not many GTV's around here. Your cars look fantastic by the way.
I work in Plano and live in Grapevine so I am close bye.
Sorry I cant help with the registration stuff. My GTV has Antique plates.
Hope you are settling in? DFW is not as pretty as Ohio ( I can relate as I am from Mass.) but is a wonderful place to live.
