Photos of trunk compartment JR Z 1600

I would really appreciate, if some kind 1600 Z owner would post or send me a detailed photo shoot of the interior of the trunk compartment?

As per my previous post for interested parties for these elusive parts, and seeing no interest in replicas, I have decided to make my own, but I need some help.

It might be easier to send photos to: alberto.guirola at gmail.com

Thank you.

Kind regards, Alberto

Hey Alberto,

I will be with my car over the weekend. It has an almost completely original interior and I believe the trunk is all original. Here are three shots that I dug on in my iPhoto to start. They show all the bits and pieces under the carpet. If I don't forget, I will make additional pics of the plastic pieces.

One note; The carpet in the trunk looks beige when in fact it is/ should be black: The 43 years of sun exposure lightened it up ...

Thank you, that is a good start. Now I only need the fender covers as you mention and the detail where they meet with the headliner material.

hatch panel diffs

Indeed - those are quite different from 1300 rear hatch panels.

Exactly same trunk compartment than @mbaum!
Except that, like he says, my carpet in the trunk is black. Not a lot of sun in Belgium...

I think it is the same square-weave-ish material than the interior carpet (My interior carpet is beige). And I believe that Zagato also put the black carpet in the open glove compartment.

When I got the car, I thought "Boy, what a dirty beige trunk carpet". Then it showed quickly that it was a sun-bleached black carpet :-)

For those of you who need to source this fabric, it was pretty hard to come by in the past but I actually think it is the same than was used in the Ferrari Dino trunks (And likely other Italian cars). Hopefully that will make it easier to find.

Great tip on the Dino trunks, but with 4 Dino versions (series)
it will be interesting to find wich one is appropriate.
I would try:
