I saw this as well. It's very sad to see this.

Someone should market a GPS tracker to put on cars and trailers ..they do it for freight companies. The trailer heist was probably done many hours before discovery and would have been done without any suspicion of wrong doing as it was being pulled off..

With all cameras on roads, in towns and so on, I guess it's possible to follow the trailer from the hotel. But maybe Italian police don't have time and don't care.

Bad story.

Stolen on 14, car already out of western Europe now.

Chris, in love with Alfa from...'68, but it wasn't always reciprocal !

One of the Facebook posts (with more and better pictures of the trailer) can be found
.

The PreWar web site lists the following information about car and trailer:

Quote:
Everyone, please look out for this white Brain James trailer (licence plate: 48-WD-JN) and Alfa Romeo (licence plate: AH-25-39) 6C 2500 Touring Cabriolet. Chassis number: 915.135. Engine number: 923.935. Touring body: 2653. Unique details: logo on the bonnet is of Turinga. Next to the grill are 3 louvres (normally 4). Stickers of Mille Miglia and Villa Trasqua are on the car. The attached photographs show both vehicles.

Years ago I read the details of a traditional Italian honor killing.
Probably cannot repeat them here, but I hope the thieves are given the same treatment.

Twin-Cam Hemi, Webers, Headers, Overdrive, Disc brakes, and no emissions equipment to spoil it all. These are gonna be FUN rides!

Very sad!

I do hope they recover it, but ... makes you think about doing these events, doesn't it. And yes GPS, is easy ... all of our historic cars should have them.

Red face A very good news

A very good news !!

The car has been recovered !!!

I would be interested to know where they found the car. I hope the car did not suffer.

I am very happy for the owner, what a relief.
