Well Guys,

I'M HERE..... Man what a terrible move and I will say this now and forever ... NEVER USE U-HAUL FOR ANYTHING... Not only did they screw me royally on the reservation/rental process but I almost lost the 164 in West Virginia because of a defective tow hitch.

When I called for road side assitance.. they not only told me what I could do with myself and my associated problems but suggested that I eat the cost of their mistake (and proceeded to hang up the phone!!!)

Any who... there is another Black Alfa 164 S in the fair state of Kentucky ... so Mark your wife's car has a relative.

Cheers
Martin

Especially if you aren't driving it

Hey, by the way thanks for the blackberry stuff and the dirty movie. I'll have to see if I still have a VCR. It may have been thrown away sometime in the late 80's.....

Mark,How did the Fetta tear apart go??

Martin, good job on a safe move.

Paul,
Hope you enjoy the movie....I know your wife liked it!!

The tear down went very well, Martin, ya gotta skip skool and come on down to the Alfarm! Pulled the transaxle outta the GTV6, yanked a pair of front seats out of a Verde along with a bunch of Sport Sedan stuff all before noon.
Burned some burgers, ate some awesome cake delivered from Indiana, cleaned up and sent them all packin'!

Even Catsboy from Lex showed up!!!!

Guys... You are a total riot (High Compliment)... I have to be careful reading your posts I almost fell out of my lecture seat laughing on break.

Any who, I am here in Pikeville trying to settle in... I am sure there will be a few trips in the near term to Lexington and maybe a little further west to the Alfarm.. (I cant wait to see that)...

Well I should probably get back to something Doctor-ish...

Ciao
Martin.

Hey Guys,

Quick question... A few weeks back while exploring I lost the bumper cover for the rear tow hitch on my 164 S.

I know Paul replied and said that he "possibly" had one laying around... Mark.. do you know of any laying around in your stash or at the Alfarm?

If you have it I would like to buy it and restore the look of the one and only Alfa Romeo for 100+ miles. Truly it makes me sad walking to school as I pass the car and see that piece missing... (For those who wonder why I dont drive to school... Well I live only a block from campus and I would feel lazy driving for a mere 5 min walk).

Cheers
Martin.

PS Any fall alfa events in the Lex/Ashland area that I should be aware of ?

Hi Martin,

There is a Central KY Region SCCA autocross in Lexington on August 31. (see CKRSCCA.org ). Some local Spiders will be running, along with Enrique from Ohio. These are two white cars & one black one with lots of smack talk about who is faster (actually, my red one is fastest but the others like to talk a lot)

Also, the October 18th Kentucky Winery Tour conducted by Ohio Valley AROC (Cincinnati). This will be an easy and relaxing tour designed to see to best of the Fall colors. We'll wind though some of the best back roads on our way to the Elk Creek Vineyard. Elk Creek is halfway between Cincinnati and Lexington, making it an ideal destination for a tri-city event. We will stop there for lunch and a sample their local fare. Contact Gary Kestin at
[email protected], or call 513-405-2629
