Hi there, AlfaBB! My name is David. I just picked up a '79 Alfetta Sport Sedan, and man do I love it. (It's got a motor from an '87 Spider, which allows for EFI. Mated to a 5 speed. Fun as heck.)

I'll have all kinds of comments and questions about it. My most immediate concern is getting three-point retractable seatbelts in the rear so I can take my kids around in it. If you have any quick advice, please send it along. But, mods, I did do a search and looked at a few potentially applicable existing threads.

Hey David, welcome! I have a sport sedan and in OC -- let me know if you ever want to rendezvous. Did you pick up that one wiht the diamond plate looking door panels? i was going to have a look at it, but never got around to it. Hope the car is solid for you.

Yep! That's the one. That's not my favorite part of the car, but it's probably one of the things that made it a more affordable option. I'd love to meet up! I'm actually new to town so I don't know a ton of people.

Although I haven't owned a sedan, you should have all 3 points ready for use. There should be a hold down point behind the rear interior door cards, under the rear seats and under the rear parcel shelf accessible from the trunk

Sounds good. Where did you relocate from? I liked that car with working AC, factory sunroof and Milano interior, but other parts of it were puzzling. Would love to meet up and swap seats for a drive sometime. I might also have a lead on some other door panels for you. I'll shoot you a PM.

Centerline is a good parts supplier in the USA, how about Euro bumpers? Good way to loss weight and it looks way better. Welcome to the Alfa community.
