New

Hi everyboy,

thank you so much for admission. My name is Cornelius, living close Munich/Germany.

I'm since yesterday owner of a nice 2600 sprint from 1963 (series 1). The car has been stored in barn in Portugal since the 80s together with 180 other car from the 60s and 70s. Had been restored in the last years and made about 300 km since then.

This is my first Alfa since the 90s (owned Alfasud, 2 Alfa 75 and 164).

Happy to share my fun with the beautiful car with all the members an d Alfisti here!

Best Cornelius

Nice. What are your plans for making it road worthy after such a long "sleep"?

Just wondering about fuel and brake hoses, while they were new, that is 30 years ago ... and as I will be doing for my GTV, please install a fire extinguisher.

Best

Welcome to the Bulletin! I am restoring a 1963 2600 Spider that has been stored for many years. I always replace any fuel hoses, brake hoses and install a new master cylinder in any car that has been stored for many years. I recently restored a 1961 SS and forgot to replace the electric fuel hoses and of course they leaked. The hoses looked like the original hoses.
