71 year old retired teacher with a new Giulia

Hello everyone. I really like my new Alpha. I have the 2.0 engine with AWD. I brought it home last Wednesday. I've put about 125 mi. on it and it has been great. All of my family and friends have gone bananas over it. Every time I stop at a light the other drivers stare at it.

That's great, Alfa Romeo is a marque with volumes of history behind it.

Check into a nursing home! Find an old retired associate to teach you spelling!

Comments like these are what drives away new members.

For most of us that have owned Alfas, it is habitual to type A-L-F-A. For others, not so much.

Give the guy a break.

Actually guys, unlike alpha, Alfa is not a real word - it's a friggin' acronym. I always cut plenty of slack for that "misspelling".

I agree completely with ossodiseppia. Ridiculing someone for a typo is so contrary to the spirit of this BB. Further, the "nursing home" comment is totally inappropriate.

Richard, I thought you had finally learned to not post comments like this.

I wonder how you might feel if some of us made comments like this about you.

To Original poster,, !! Congrats !! It must be a blast to drive. don't listen to these guys, they are the reason I'm not here much.
Despite them, Please post about driving it, and what you liked and didn't, if any.
I want to get one as my retirement daily Blaster, when they send over some 6 Speed standards. Me, and I think more than a few friends.
Please, photos too !!

And in Coupe' form.
But that's not a deal breaker, if I get a standard shift car.

And by the way, you lame posters, I know well what being an Alpha Wolfe, in a human pack, means. Not always an easy position.
Maybe he used something that meant something important to him, and he knows Darn well how to spell Alfa.

Please, no more posts on spelling, I want to hear about actually driving these amazing cars, that the lucky few are getting to actually drive.

Please, let alphawolfe be the next post on this thread, and I hope forgives you knotheads and shares some of His initial driving Impressions.

Or maybe he misspelled it. Either way, he has a Giulia and most of us don't.
I say we give a pass on the early misspell and hope he will share his driving experience.
I have spoken.

Or maybe he mis-spelled it. No biggie, except HE actually gets to drive one.
I say we give him a pass, we hopes he will still share the driving experience.
Do I have an "Aye" ?

Auto correct to the rescue.

If you make your postings from a cell phone, or anything except a desktop(or laptop) computer, the auto correct feature will change "Alfa" to "Alpha". It is next to impossible to do anything about this.

I've seen this in eBay postings, where the item for sale is correctly listed as "Alfa" but in the text of the add it's becomes "Alpha". What's happening is the spell correct in the eBay site is changing the spelling.

Anyway welcome aboard "Alphawolfe" don't let the spelling police get to you.

Bye
