Air trumpets, 40 mm,

More stuff that I am finding...

They are 40mm, so not much sense, at least to me, as for racing in?
GTA were 45, so?

If anyone knows, please tell!

Regards, Alberto

Richard, if they were for the kit for Cup Alfasud TI, as much as I tried, they only work on DCOE's due to the tab location,
but I have been wrong many times. I will take other photos.

Hi Alberto

Interesting; the inner diameter of my air trumpets is 45.8mm - so certainly for 45 carbies! No doubt they made 40s, as yours as well....

Regarding an Alfasud kit, it was Alleggerita who posted this comment, but two points I can make. It was common for performance intake pipes to bend through 90 degrees to allow fitment of 'horizontal' Webers - think small engine Abarth! Secondly, maybe inlet trumpets also made straight and/or different mounts?

Hello Richard, Yoiu are right on all points, but the Alfasud kit had 90 degrees stacks, to face forward.
Dcoe's also.

Mine will not fit 44 IDF (alfasud) - Dimensions of my curved horns: 44.8mm OD

They were beautifully made, two half welded together, the seams can be felt on the inside,
and on the outside, the blending is gorgeous, as are the 'bird and rock catcher screens'

Beautiful Italian artisan work.

On 45's, as I do not have 40's handy

Regards, Alberto

They were available in 40mm, presumably for motorsport classes that required standard carbs for non-GTA/TZ cars.

Yes, beautifully made - possibly by hand. Sold my set many years ago.
