Tom that is a unique design, I would begin your search in the book " Allgerita" you might find some thing there, you should put some more images up of the car there are many knowledgeable people on this forum who have been around the tracks where they used to race.

Phillips 66 sign looks closer than BP but still isn't it.

What country was this from? This is a pretty standard and venerable shield shape, from US highway signs to the Union Pacific RR emblem.

Now! Here is the answer....AR775594 / Driver: Hennie van der vliet.

Does somebody knows more about the history of the car?

The car was sold in 1987 in Germany demaged and not complete. Who has it bought?

It seems that Hennie van der Vliet raced the car until 1975. The car came from NL/B via Germany to a guy from Stockholm (S) who sold it in 1987 to another Swedish owner. A photo of the car minus bonnet in '87 was shown in Alleggerita I by Tony Adriaensens. The owner restored the car from 1987 to 2000 when he got FIA papers for the car. In 2001 he sold it to a new owner in Portugal. In 2006 it was offered via Marcel Roks.

Dear members,

I remember a picture from a 1600 GTA or GTA 1300 Junior being disassembled before restration.
Under the rear body extensions, the name "Bankras" appeared. The car was a wide body GTA so I suspect it was most likely a GTA 1300 Junior.
I talked to the people, who serviced Hennie van der Vliets's car in period, some years ago. They showed me pictures of a "Bankras" car together with pictures of the Zagato's they owned and/or serviced.
I do not remember seeing this picture though.

Ciao, Olaf

Hallo Thomas Tauschek,

Are you the owner of this car?
Will you provide some recent pictures of the # 775.594?
Just to be sure, the history cannot be used for a replica.

Because I know the history of this car.

Frendly Regards

Giuliaatje
