What engine is this?

The seller says that this car has been modified during the '70's and that the engine is an Autodelta 16 valves engine with GTAM fuel injection which produces 220 h.p.

It looks different from the "common" narrow head and, where are the spark plugs wires?

It is a Autodelta, Siamese linered 16 Valve engine from the period, looks as if the 4 spark plugs 10mm Dia are not fitted, very rear as not many were fitted to 105's. Has got the correct slide plate injection

Cool, thanks. I wonder what's the displacement: if he declares 220 hp I suppose that it should be a 2000 cc

if it raced it must have ran in group 5 if it had the 16 v engine , on the trink they put a 1.8 script if i am no t mistaken . it is probably a 1750 engine. the body being a sprint gt and this engine would have only enabled it to race in gr 5 in the mid 70s .

The engine is an AUTODELTA 16 valve originally built in the 1960's. It seems that there were different engine capacities 1300cc, 1600cc and 2000cc.

It seems they proved to be less reliable than the 8 valve 'testa stretta' of the same era.

i think autodelta built the 16 v closer to the early 70s did they not ? Angelini built his head before autodelta also .

Hello Giamba_ps,

Have a look at page 4 of this thread:
http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/gta-...prototype.html
There you will find a list of engines, desgined and developed by Autodelta amongst which are the 16valve versions for the 1300, 1500 (Marino), 1600 and 2000 classes.

Ciao, Olaf
