1300 GTA - recent acquisition

Hi chaps, I recently purchased 1300 GTA chassis number 776081 (an ex- race car from Germany, I believe) - it's only a rolling shell & it's going to be fun sourcing all the parts to complete it but hey, it's a GTA & I'm fortunate enough to have the facilities, contacts & labour force to complete it over time. If anyone has any info/ history on this car I'd love to hear about it.

This forum seems to be used by a few GTA specialists and people who know the German GTA scene now and then very well.

Elke Lütt is not a common name in Germany - nevertheless, a current internet directory lists a person of this name with full details:

Elke Lütt, Auf der Heide 3, 56244 Helferskirchen

Thanks for the replies - could be 'Eike" - need to have a closer look at the paperwork again!

Ian, Well done and welcome to the small but perfectly formed group of GTA owners. I have some bits so PM me with what you might need.

Thanks Stuart,
First step is to have the body alignment checked/ adjusted on Alfaholics' jig. I've managed to acquire a pair of NOS rear wings, NOS cylinder head, crank, pistons & liners, rods & flywheel and hopefully picking up rest of the engine + halfshafts etc next week. It's amazing what's out there! Be interested to know what you have...

Ian, I seem to recall that you are in Brighton....is that still the case? If so I think that I have your telephone number and I will give you a ring to talk GTA bits.

That's right Stuart - my workshop is about 10 miles outside Brighton. I was chewing the fat with Richard Norris yesterday at his new Sussex pad (or trade counter as its now known!) & he was telling me about your (ex-Roddy Harvey-Bailey?) car......
Would be good to hear from you!
