Seat position

Hi

I have a 1969 MK1 1750 GTV which has been converted to a racecar . Unfortunately I am too old to get in and out of a race seat and want to put an original seat back in . The floor pan under the race seats is flat and there is no sign of the original seat mountings. Is there a riser piece on the std car , if someone can post a dimensions or photos of the under seat mounts I will attempt to make a suitable mount

thanks

Ian

GT seat mounting pints

One more try

Can anyone supply a similar photo of a 1750 GT interior so I can see the seat mounting points and the height of the spacer at each bolting pint , my floor is currently flat for a race seat.

Are these pieces sold by anyone or do they come with replacement floor pans

I may mock in wood first - This is what was used on my Morgan

OK getting closer on my own - I found this picture of a later 2 litre - is it the same on a1750 GT?

Do the seats and runners bolt straight on or is there a mounting bracket?

Thankyou our posts overlapped - I am of course making it more difficult by putting MK2 seats in A MK1 - I can't afford the flying buttress seats

OK - Thankyou . Maybe the mounting holes are still there - I will grind back the paint and gunk and see what is underneath

Seats are in .

Thanks for your advise GuillotineF1

The seats are in as photos. I found all the M8 threaded holes . But for some reason the runners are around an inch short.

I have made up a wooden spacer and will replace with a metal piece later.

A couple of questions

1. I pulled the runners out to grease them and 3 rubber round pieces . One left , two right any idea how to get them back in?

2. The seat back angle adjusters ( black round knobs on side, No2 in the attached) are seized solid any idea how to get them working again

The rollers are made of heard wood. You should have two per side, so fabricating one from 1” oak dowel will work as a suitable replacement. Refer to this tread. The Search function is your friend.
