2000 GTV centre console

Hi, I'm helping a friend with the restoration if his 2000 GTV and am currently busy with the centre console. It seems that two different versions exist for the lower panel on which the cigarette lighter and switches are fitted. One covers the entire panel and the other is just the lower part. We have them both but would like to know which one of both is correct. See pics. Any ideas? Thanks!

The 2nd one is US correct, if not worldwide correct. I’ve never seen that 1st one before. That’s the wrong lighter. GTVs never had a “typical’ lighter that you could use as a power socket. Where did you find that 1st pic?

The cigarette lighter is NOT correct. My query relates to the panel only. What I had never seen until now was the full face panel shown in the second picture. I attach a pic of the panel covering the lowe section only.

The second one (covers all the area) is what I have on my 1975 euro GTV.

How about that, learn something new every day. Never seen one before but they’re apparently common. In which case you’re probably fine using whichever you like better/is stronger.

Hi Jonathan, I'm starting to suspect that the 2nd one is an improved version of the 1stt. My 73 had the first, later models might have had the 2nd. The 1st does not cover all the seam of the vinyl where both sides (L&R) meet, the 2nd does.
