And in closer detail, that translates to work such as this. Before, during and after. No new panels were bought for the front end.

My car came as you can see in one of the pictures, with much to be desired in the way of seats. The backseat is ok, but will need to be reupholstered. It needs both foam and vinyl cover. The front seats that came with the car was one series 1 seat in need of restoration, and a series 2 seat, also in need of restoration. Odd mix..... Anyway, the seller of the car said he new a guy who had 2 comletely restored Zagato seats in his basement. He apparently once had a car, equipped that car with non orginal bucket seats for trackdays, restored the orginals while out of the car, then sold the car, and had the seats still in his basement. So I called him, and a deal was struck. So now I have the two seats that came with my car for sale. PM me in interested. I will try to spend some time in the classifieds section for both selling what I dont need, and to try to buy what is still missing.

Suspension and brake components

Now suspension and brake components are being restored and plated. Engine is now in process as well, with new pistons among other things! Very happy with progress!

Always nice when you stop taking dirty stuff off and are getting ready to start bolting shiny stuff back on!

Fantastic work but the last bare metal photo worries me as it looks like the top ridge line does not curve in at the end. A subtle detail

Let´s paint!

The body is getting ready for primer and paint! Did I say in the end the decision fell on Blu Olandese? Only a couple of months left now....
I visited the Techno Classica in Essen last week. Very inspirational indeed.

original CMR wheels back from restoration

The original 14 x 5.5 steel wheels are now bck from the specialist. The car had only 1 of its orginal rims when I bought it, so I found the 4 I was missing from a guy in Switzerland. All 5 wheels will be shod with vintage style tires in the form of Pirelli Cinturato´s 185/70 14. I believe this was a period option to the 165´s fitted as standard.

engine almost finnished now

With new pistons, bearings etc, the engine is in final assembly. Going for green ignition leads of course, as per original spec on my car.

calipers are also ready now

Calipers are also ready now. I posted before my intentions to fit Pirelli Cinturato´s, but changed my mind after having read some on the subject. In the end, the decision fell on the 165s and not the 185s. Standard and original spec. And I think also a little less grip, which is fun!

That pocket is actually meant for the Coupon Service Book.
