Fuel tank clogged

74 GTV. Been sitting for a while, trying to get it running again. Car wouldn't start, and traced it back to no fuel getting to the carbs. Fuel pump runs, but doesn't pump anything. Pulled the hose off the bottom of the fuel tank, nothing comes out. There' 4-5 gallons of gas in there. Use compressor to pump air into the bottom of the tank, and I can hear it bubbling in the fuel. But no fuel comes back out. Any ideas?

Is there any kind of check valve in the tank?

There is no check valve from the factory. I would keep blowing air thru it (remove the cap).

Check the inside of the tank. It could be full of crud/rust which falls back into place once you stop pumping air into it.

Garage
There's a screen at the bottom of the tank where the pick up tube sucks fuel from. If there's any rust in the tank, this screen most definitely will get clogged up. Remove your fuel gauge sending unit on top of the tank from within the trunk (usually can be accessed from within the trunk... I've owned spiders and alfetta... not sure if GTVs are the same.) You'll be able to see the screen once you pull it out.

Obviously do be careful not to create any sparks of any kind. LOL
