Are people still interested in these things? I'd like to place a large order, but I don't want to get stuck with inventory, these plates aren't cheap since I'm not ordering 1000's at a time. Seems there was a lot of initial interest but maybe that tapered off.

Thanks,

Sean

I changed my mind from earlier.
I will take a 2000 plate.

Sean,

I received my plate. It looks fantastic. Now I'll have to restore the airbox to the same quality. Then if I do that, the cam cover will need to be refurbished. And if that happens, then the engine compartment probably need a repaint....

Thanks a lot!

I'm the one who had the Spica paint custom-mixed by Tower Paint in 2002.

From the label on my can:

ALFA ROMEO GRAY
FOR AIR CLEANER
DEAN CAINS
03/02

I can't tell you the current cost, and hopefully, they've retained the formula, but I can say the color/tint was perfect, as was the not-too-glossy sheen. For the best results, have your parts bead-blasted first and use a quality primer. Other paints I've seen have far too much blue tint in the gray and and far too thick and glossy.

Nice job on the plates, and if I still had my '74 Spider I'd have purchased one. Someone was making the FISPA stickers a while back, but I can't recall who it was.

I was able to order the Spica grey paint from tower last year. You need to call them and ask for it. Was around $40 for the 2 part paint which you need to use in one session as it seems to thicken in the can after a few days

As a quick reference here are some various paints I tried before going with the tower paint mix

I'm interested in a 1750 plate and probably a 2000 in case I ever need it.

Wow ...did I ever miss this party! I guess you sold out on the 1750 plates very quickly since you don't seem to have any listed on your ebay store?

Hi all,

Next order will be placed in about a week. LAST CALL if you want to be on the list! If you want more than one plate, I will combine shipping. Looks kind of cool hanging on the wall of your garage too!

If you want to be on this order, please send me a PM or email and include your name and how many of each plate you want to buy.

Thanks!

Sean

Hi all,

I just heard back from the vendor and the next batch should ship from the vendor on Friday, so I will let you know when I receive and verify everything. If anyone didn't get in the first time around, there should be a few extra and I'll give folks here on the bb first dibs before putting them on ebay.

Thanks!

S

The order is in.

A couple of the 1750 plates are available, rest are spoken and paid for, just got the 2000 plates in. Will be shipping shortly.

If you still want one, speak now before I put them on ebay.

Thanks!

$45 + shipping. If you want it rolled to the contour of your airbox, it's $3 more, otherwise they ship flat. Email sean dot 127 at gmail.com if interested.
