Man i wish!

Still have to sell my Berlina to fund the sill panels. Im thinking of sending it off to BlueFlame for this. I will do most of the other work myself.

I just dont have the skill/time to do the sills at home.

The car market seems really bad at the moment. I have seen a lot of cars for sale drop a few thousand because they arent moving. Due to petrol prices?

You think someone would be after a rust free Berlina for only $3K with mechanicals sorted? Only one person has bothered to look at it. Im getting tired of all the calls and emails tho! It seems only people from interstate are interested.

Its coming out in Amatori Alfa this month, so maybe will generate some local interest. Then its off to the panel shop.

After lookng through this and the other lengthy 105GT thread, Avorio (Ivory) and Verde Olivo are tugging at me equally hard! Which color do people think works best on a racing 67 Giulia Sprint Veloce (one headlight)? Avorio would look great with some red splashed on, and green may be best being on its own...

time to join in...

Thought I should show off the new acquisition in this thread. I believe its AR727... (I hope) Its a lovely series 1 1750. Was originally an Alfa Romeo demonstrator at Addison Motors in Hindmarsh Victoria, Australia. Came with maroon leather and has stood the test of time well. I am the third owner...

These photos are from the road trip from Melbourne to Byron Bay, so I guess the car isn't its greatest state of clenliness, but it looks okay...

Does anyone know more about the leather interiors in these cars?

Ben,

It turns out that my car, a '71 Spider, was also painted AR727 originally, as confirmed by Archivio Storico. It has since been resprayed white; once I get around to restoring it, however, back to AR727 it goes. It's a classy color for a GTV, isn't it? The silver shows off the lines really well.

Yes mate, I cant live long without a running Alfa in my life! AND I managed to sell my Mercedes as well! I've never had a 105 coupe before but i've wanted one since before I could drive. The 1750 has always been my favourite variant, and the series 1 to me is the creme. So, I found this car on carpoint.com in South Yarra and I had two Alfa-friends go and see it and then had Giancarlo from Pur Sang motors check it out. With the strength of the three I made an offer. I was really happy until I got in the taxi from the airport in Melbourne to the PO's place and I started to panic, thinking "oh god, what have I done?" But as soon as I clapped eyes on it I was giggling like a school kid. This is the car I have ALWAYS wanted. I love AR501 and Francia Blu, but for class I think its hard to go past AR727 over skai interior. Its unique! I love it!
