60 spider fresh restore

This car sat in my uncle's horse barn since 1969. Dug it out in 2013. Here is how it turned out.

Love it!! Was there much rust to contend with? I'd love to see a photo diary of the process. I took possession of a 61 Spider TODAY that has been in covered storage for 37 yrs.

My uncle can't drive anymore but we have gone for a couple of rides. Rockers were completely gone inside other than that not to bad.

That's a late '59, my 1493*08930 is an early Feb '60, so your 08243 would have been built in '59, then shipped and titled in '60

Very nicely done. It has to be a huge sigh of relief and beaming pride to share with your family. Does it have the unique 1960 top? Seats look great.

My late '61-built original interior is all black. No piping. My parts book lists the interior piping, and carpet options, but does anyone know about when the contrasting piping wasn't standard fare?
