There is a VERY GOOD market for this car! Photo the serial number and engine and someone will buy it right here on the BB.

Looking for 101 1600 Veloce Roller

Hello everyone,

I have 1600 Veloce engine AR00121*02263 previously owned by Ken Butler. I'm looking to purchase a Veloce chassis built in 1965. I noted on the registry that Christopher Boles Veloce engine is a 121*02266 and his chassis was built in May 1965.

If there is anyone that has a roller for sale, please fell free to contact me at: [email protected]

Thanks :-)

L'Alfista

Carm,
to help clear up a bit of a misconception. All the engines were built and stock piled. As the cars came down the assembly line, they were pulled randomly. My car just happen to get 02266. Your engine was just ahead of mine on the engine assembly line. I don't know if Marco Fazio at the archives can tell you which chassis that went into? I am glad to hear you are on the right track looking for a chassis for this engine to go into. Be patient and look at all the various sources and you will find what you are looking for.

Christopher

Patrick, Thought you should know: This is a bad link, you misspelled registry. Should be Classic Alfa Romeo Registry!

Cheers.

Good Job Patrick.

Oh, and the Registry site looks great. Nice work. Is there a way to modify or change ones listing?

No, there's no way for owners to edit their entries, but I can make those edits when required.

I recently bought Gulietta Spyder 1495 0801 built November of 1956, original colour AR505.
Its a Black Plate California Car, I have registrations back to the 60s in Southern California.
I bought the Gulietta from a collector/restorer in San Jose, he'd bought it some 10 years ago with the intention of finishing the rstoration, it seems that it was taken off the road and stripped over 20 years ago by the prior owner, he'd intended on doing a concours job but ran out of steam, in the process though he did collect as many NOS Alfa parts as he could get, there are new side chromes in original Alfa bags etc. The last owner carried on collecting and buying so everything has either been replaced or rechromed, plated etc.
It's an early car, I confirmed everything with Marco at Alfa Romeo, correct matching number motor, it has all of the original features, the motor is untouched. The body shell is rolling but otherwise striped, doors, trunk and front hood are all refinished, I've enclosed a picture showing some of the metal finishing we've started on the shell, its a really nice straight body, excellent floors throughout
