Wiring diagram 750 spider veloce

I am installing a new wiring loom in my car.
I have different 2 drawings with electric circuit diagrams for a 750 spider veloce.
One of them displays the " stop pedal switch" at no 30.
The other displays the "stop pedal switch" at no 30 and underneath at the drawing an item no 40. I don't have the legenda of this diagram, so I don't have a clue which part is being displayed.
Can somebody help me out?

Regards,
Kees Jan

Hi Kees Jan,

I think that you can find what you need in this picture from the Owners Manual april 1959 rev 2

Erik,
How about posting the rest of the diagram, I could use a look also.
I am straightening out the wiring on a '58 SV Confortevole with what seems to be all black wires in the harness.
I need all the info I can get!

Bill,

here is the circuit diagram for a late 750E with a 8 fuse fusebox. I think this should be correct for 06524.

Did you manage to fix the SWF wiper mechanism?

Erik,
We did get the wiper fixed, Taking out the tiny circlip was interesting,
Took heating and quenching for it to loosen up, we cleaned out the bore with a small wire brush and polished the shaft, a bit of grease and it's smooth as silk.

Thanks for the print out, that one is a bit different than the one I have.
I wish someone had one for a 6 fuse 750 Veloce with black wires. The wires had (have) painted ends, but they didn't use the colors available on the available wire schematics. It's a tough slog figuring them out.
Ciao,
Bill Gillham

I think it is time to contact Lionel...

Strange that there are only 6 fuses. Mine is a couple of months older and had already 8. May be somebody made a new harness based on an older diagram?

good luck

Erik

It has had this one for the past 32 years and I believe it is the one it came with. My '62 Ti also has only 6 fuses. Both cars are European delivery but I don't know if that matters.

I can't find a 6 fuse diagram for a SV, only for a Sprint. The good thing is that is all black and white

Dear Bill,

My SVC 06559, a near sister of Keith's, also had original (burned in places) all black wiring from new with a 6-fuse fuse block. The all black rubber and cloth wiring had paint-dipped ends for about 1-2 inches for identification.
The diagram would be just like that just listed by Sprint 58 in post#9 above EXCEPT (1) adding a single ignition fused wire to the fuel pump in the rear, (2) deleting reverse lamps -no switch!, (3) Negative earth return at battery.

Good luck,
Laurence

Laurence,
I finally got the Mystery solved, lots of continuity testing, Most of the painted ends were either degraded or missing, and a bunch of modern 18 gauge wire was scabbed in and hooked up incorrectly. Any how it is all repaired now, and tested. I hate laying under a dash!
Thanks,
Bill

Dear Bill,

I rewired my car completely using modern cloth over PVC in woven colors for ease of diagnosis in the future, and converted to an 8-fuse fuse block for separate high beam headlamp fuses. Add a quality (not $12.) battery disconnect switch! Call Lionel.

Laurence

Since the ends were gone I substituted proper color woven cloth PVC wire in the proper colors so no one has to do this again,
If I had more time I think a new Wire harness would have been better. But this one is now quite serviceable.
Ciao,
Bill

FWIW, my Spider Veloce has all black wiring. The ends were not painted but had color coded plastic bands on the ends to identify the wires. The black and white or black and yellow striped ones were not identified that way. Just solid. It is all going in the trash can when I re wire with Lionel's Auto Sportiva harness I have in the box.
