Unsold MY2018 Giulias - Heavily discounted

AR is offering US dealers incentives to heavily discount unsold 2018 Giulias, up to $22K off. Promotion lasts through end of May. A friend who is an AR sales rep said that AR "just final paid them and are trying out a new variable margin program that puts a bunch on money on those cars specifically." "Weíre trying out a new bonus program for dealers to see if it boosts sales"

I could not resist. I placed an order for a 2018 Misano blue Quad and pick it up early June in Ohio.

Too bad they do not have any non-Quadrifoglio Giulia's available with a discount from 2018!

Congratulations on placing on order.

I have a 2017 Giulia that i love.

Thanks

Have toyed with (without permission from the wife) about selling her pristine (rust and dent free) low mileage 89 Milano (I think it may be worth a reasonable amount) and buying either a used or new Giulia, even given the faults we think it has.

She doesn't care all that much for the body of the Milano, but sure likes the additional power over her fav 78 Alfetta sedan she used to drive. I'm not sure, though, that she would like the auto tranny, she being used to in her entire driving life and liking a manual. Plus, based on our experience with fully equipped infotainment systems in rentals, she doesn't think well of those as well.

Oh well, haven't run it past her. Kind of afraid to, lol, she being the bookkeeper, etc. However, if we were to run across a nice used dark blue rear wheel drive Giulia TI...

BTW, saw another Giulia yesterday. We didn't recognize it at all until we had passed it, then seeing the grill in the rear view mirror. From the rear, looked like every other Asian car.

I do Ed, itís currently stuck in the U.K. because it had a major fault when I was shipping it back to the states. Itís getting a complete engine rebuild.

Itís been almost 10 years since I bought a new car, so I had some pent up willingness to assume a car payment!
