1994 164Q New Rochelle NY

Timing belt failed at 178K. The tow company is charging $45/day and they quoted $488 to get it to Eurotech in Livingston NJ. No-one has the time to get their trailer into operation.
Car is shown as a NH car No. 788 on the registry but I have had it in NY since summer 2012.
Many new parts but...
I plan to have it drug to a nearby junk yard tomorrow unfortunately.
I will post the place of final repose in this thread.

If for any reason both fall through, can I be number 3 in line?

New Rochelle makes for an easy little adventure. If I were home this week I would have made a couple calls to get this in motion.

Looks like I should be set to pick it up, I will let George and John know if something goes awry. So far not planning on parting it out, there are too few Qs left as it is to scrap it. My part time daily driver took a tree to the roof while I was on deployment so I will more than likely be using the engine mechanicals from her to fix this car if there is indeed major engine damage.

Good. No solid plan here.

Appreciate the thought as well George!

Just too interesting to pass on given the location and situation.

Good luck to all.

I wouldn't say I was overly critical of Marks hate towards the towing company, I mean it's traumatic getting your baby towed, but no reason to throw shade as the kids say. After dealing with them I think Mark should have been more mad, absolute scumbags!

Ah, you are talking about the first post. What happened to the car now? It didn't get trashed, did it? That would be criminal, alas.
